Let me break it down for you
Tucked away just an hour from Reykjavik, this quaint hotel offers fine views, quirky decor, and a awesome breakfast that'll blow you away. The rooms spread across two levels provide a cozy feel, while nearby hiking options promise amazing scenery. Just note, dining here can be pricey, but the experience is well worth it.

There were tea-making facilities and a lounge in the room, thoroughly enjoyed that. This accommodation had a remote setting to a beautiful fjord with fine dining...

When we visit Hvalfjordur, like staying here. This place is romantic and the staff are outstandingly accommodating. The location is wonderful, really close to the Snaefellsnes peninsula and the nearest town and supermarket - couldn't be better.

Charming hotel, soothing atmosphere, with amazing views from the double room. An excellent breakfast including smoked salmon and fresh eggs that set us up for a day of exploring nearby sights.

I stayed in a Double Room with Mountain View at Glymur for 2 nights in August 2024. The views were fine. Mountains and fjords greeted me every morning from my window. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering fresh fruits and pastries that kick-started my day. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with unique decor adding a cozy touch. The hot tub's water temperature could have been warmer for comfort. Service had its ups and downs. While most staff were friendly, I encountered a surly attitude at the front desk during check-in. The Wi-Fi connection proved spotty at times, inconvenient for planning my day. The restaurant menu didn't have much variety, and the food was a bit overpriced for the quality. Despite these hiccups, I enjoyed my stay, especially soaking in the hot tub overlooking the fjord at sunset.

We loved this hotel and wish we could have stayed longer. Food was excellent. Top chef! Rooms very clean and big (two floors). Fantastic views on the Fjord from in the rooms and from in the hottub. We really recommend this one to everyone. it is a shame the hotel does not have more reviews on this site.

Breakfast featured an excellent array of local delicacies, including vegetables and salmon lox, served in a cozy setting. We encountered a lack of help with luggage upon arrival, leading to an initial frustrating experience. The absence of hypoallergenic pillows presented another challenge for comfort during the night.

The double room with a mountain view was really nice. It had a comfy loft bed, and the sitting area downstairs was perfect. Plus, we had a kettle, handy. The views were fine from both levels. Only downside, there was just one plug in the loft for charging devices. But overall, loved the unique layout!
